Still Charlie-Ann’s Consignments in Lynnwood

More than nine years after she opened Charlie-Ann’s Consignments in Lynnwood, Charlie Hale decided she would sell her store this October. But a back injury hastened her decision.
It didn’t take long for Hale and her husband, Greg Hale, who live in Meadowdale, to find a buyer. Tiffiny Neatrour and Tom Keefe took over July 15.
Those who make money at the store, and those who buy its apparel for women, as well as handbags, shoes, and accessories, will be happy to know that the new owners are keeping the store as is. They are even keeping the name.
Over the years, many of Charlie-Ann’s regular customers came from Edmonds, where Charlie Hale previously worked for Donna Speer at the former Yesterday’s Consignments. The Gravity Bar now occupies that space.
“I want to especially thank all my Edmonds customers who followed me from Yesterday’s,” said Hale, who retired from the Edmonds School District, where she worked with special-education students at College Place Elementary School.
Like all consignment stores, Charlie-Ann’s keeps ownership of items until they sell, if they sell. The store and the seller have the option to renew if an item remains after 60 days. Charlie-Ann’s keeps 60 percent of sales, and the seller gets 40 percent.
All items need to be in excellent condition.
Neatrour, who made the decision to keep the store’s name due to regular customers, said, “Where else can you bring in your inventory and get money for it?”
Charlie-Ann’s Consignments is at 6815 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. For more information, call 425-775-8737. You can also find the store on Facebook.
