Depth, veteran talent boost Edmonds-Woodway | Football

 


The Edmonds-Woodway football team should feel a lot better when its defensive unit takes the field this fall.

A year ago, the Warriors did not return any starters and only had one player in the lineup with any significant varsity experience.

The lack of experience translated into a tough start to the season – Edmonds-Woodway opened 0-4 and the defense allowed an average of 40.5 points in those first four contests.

“With nobody coming back on defense, we had some growing pains,” Edmonds-Woodway coach John Gradwohl said.
