Edmonds-Woodway surprises, advances to state tournament | Softball

 


Edmonds-Woodway is making the most of its opportunities.

After finishing seventh in the Wesco 3A, the Warriors had to face No. 10 seed Shorecrest in a play-in game. Edmonds-Woodway edged the Scots 6-5 to advance to the 3A District 1 softball tournament.

Three games later, the Warriors clinched a berth to the state tournament with a hard-fought 9-6 victory over Marysville-Pilchuck Thursday, May 16, at Phil Johnson Fields in Everett.
