Meadowdale’s Free, E-W’s Keyes dominate Edmonds District meet | Track and field

 


Edmonds-Woodway’s Vatoria Keyes and Meadowdale’s Raymond Free were the top individual performers at the Edmonds District track and field championships.

Keyes finished first in the girls shot put with a career best throw of 36 feet to place four feet ahead of Mountlake Terrace’s Jaymee Estrada Friday, May 3, at Edmonds Stadium.

The Edmonds-Woodway junior also won the discus with a throw of 120.

The Warriors easily won the girls team title, scoring 242 points, well ahead of Meadowdale (121), Mountlake Terrace (102) and Lynnwood (60).
