Knights stun Falcons with two last-minute goals | Boys soccer

 


The odds were stacked against King’s.

With about a minute left in regulation, the Knights trailed North Sound Conference champion South Whidbey 2-1 in the 1A District boys soccer championship game.

The Falcons had defeated King’s twice during the regular season, the most recent 2-0 in the final regular season game in late April.

But then the improbable happened when sophomore Jack McCallister broke through an opening in the Falcon defense and punched in a goal to tie the score with about a minute left in the game.
