Warriors, Mavericks post wins | Softball

 


Mya Fegler and Sofia Chamorro each drove in two runs to help Edmonds-Woodway defeat Shorewood 7-3 in a Wesco 3A softball game Monday, April 29, at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Annika Forseth picked up the victory for the Warriors, who won their third straight game and fifth in their last six contests. The Warriors close out the season against Archbishop Murphy (4 p.m., Thursday, May 2, at Edmonds-Woodway), Snohomish (4 p.m., Monday, May 6, at Edmonds-Woodway) and Marysville-Pilchuck (4 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, at Marysville-Pilchuck).

District rival Meadowdale is closing in on a league title after a 1-0 victory over Archbishop Murphy on Monday, April 29, and a 7-2 win over Shorecrest on Tuesday, April 30. The Mavericks (10-0 in the league, 12-4 overall) are one game ahead of Snohomish (9-1, 13-2) and Everett (9-1, 13-3). Meadowdale defeated both teams earlier this season.

The Mavericks take on Cedarcrest (4 pm., Friday, May 3 at Cedarcrest), Oak Harbor, (Monday, May 6 at Oak Harbor) and Marysville-Getchell (4 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, at Meadowdale).
