King’s baseball, soccer teams advance

 


The King’s baseball team wrapped up the regular season with two series sweeps over rivals Granite Falls and Sultan in North Sound Conference baseball action.

The Knights (10-5 in the league, 11-9 overall) finished third in the league and will face Overlake in a first-round 1A Bi-District tournament game at noon, Saturday, May 4, at Joe Martin Stadium in Bellingham.

King’s defeated Granite Falls 6-0, 10-2 and 4-3 then overwhelmed Sultan 20-0, 16-1 and 12-0 to finish with its best league and overall record in school history. The Knights recorded their first series sweep in history over...
