Mavericks look to rebound after first league loss | Boys soccer

 


Meadowdale remained near the top of the Wesco 3A boys soccer standings despite suffering its first league loss of the season.

Marysville-Pilchuck scored two goals in the first 22 minutes of the first half and went on to defeat the Mavericks 3-1 Friday, March 29, at Edmonds Stadium.

The Tomahawks (6-0-1 in the league, 8-0-1 overall) and the Mavericks (5-1-0, 6-2) came into the key contest undefeated in Wesco 3A play and tied for first place.

Meadowdale coach Michael Nelson told his players to shake off the loss and learn from the experience.
