Man acquitted in 2017 double stabbing

Marco Antonio Vicente-Dominguez, arrested in July 2017 by Edmonds police on suspicion of a double stabbing, was acquitted March 19 by a jury in Snohomish County.
Vicente-Dominquez’s attorneys said their client, arrested after fleeing to California, acted in self-defense.
The stabbing left two men, a 30-year-old Edmonds resident originally from Guatemala and a 35-year-old Edmonds resident originally from Mexico, in the hospital in stable condition.
The incident happened at Horizon Apartments in the 7400 block of 208th Street SW of Edmonds. Police found one victim in the parking lot with serious wounds, while a second was found in a nearby apartment.
A search warrant was served on the apartment where one of the victims was found. Physical evidence included a possible weapon used in the incident. Detectives and have spoken with multiple witnesses and determined that numerous people were in the apartment during the assault.
All of the subjects knew each other and were either living there or had been staying in the unit.

Vicente-Dominguez, 26, had been in jail since August 2017. He has been released.
