Rash of burglaries, attempts in Chase Lake neighborhood

February 21, 2019

Edmonds Police report that there was another series of burglaries or burglary attempts in the Chase Lake area on Wednesday night, Feb. 20.

They all occurred in a tight time window, from 6-7 p.m., Sgt. Shane Hawley said.

“We did a K-9 track, which is why people were likely alerted to activity in the area with police cars sitting on containment,” he said.

“We didn’t find the suspect, but did end up discovering a couple of these burglaries along the (way).”

Hawley said the burglaries occurred in the following blocks: 8200 218 Street SW; 21800 84th Avenue West; 8300 218th Street SW; and 8500 218th Street SW.

The suspect or suspects used the same methods as in a series of burglaries in January.

Said Hawley: “We are looking for anyone that has cameras that may point to the streets and had captured a suspicious person in that area, before, during or just after that time window.”

Those with information can call 425-771-0200 or use the tip line.
