Fly Fishers donate to Students Saving Salmon

The Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds has donated $550 to the Edmonds-Woodway High School group Students Saving Salmon, with funds to help the group with its Shell Creek habitat restoration project.

There are about 40 students in Students Saving Salmon, founded to help restore salmon runs in streams throughout Edmonds. The club conducts water quality monitoring, works at the Willow Creek Hatchery and participates in various community outreach projects.

In the past, the club has been involved in habitat restoration projects such as planting over 400 plants along Shell Creek in 2017. Students...
