Eagle Scout builds new ramp for St. Alban’s Church

January 16, 2019

Troop 300 Eagle Scout Logan Fay cuts the ribbon on the new ramp he built for his Eagle Scout project for St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds. St. Alban’s Rector Greg Peters (far right) looks on as St. Alban’s member Robin McClelland prepares to be the first to use the new ramp.

Logan Fay, an Eagle Scout with Troop 300 and senior at Edmonds-Woodway High School, recently built a new ramp and stairs for the annex building at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds as part of his Eagle Scout project.

The ramp and stairs provide complete access to the building located behind the church’s main sanctuary, and is used for meetings and classes throughout the week as well as on Sundays.

The Eagle Scout service project as the ultimate application of what a scout has learned from scouting: leadership, responsibility, managing projects and applying the scout oath, “to help other people.”

Boy Scout troop 300 has been meeting in St. Alban’s Parish Hall on Monday nights for several years, and is supported by the church. For more information on Boy Scout Troop 300, go to www.troop300.org.

St. Alban’s is located at 21405 82nd Place West.
