Last updated 1/7/2019 at Noon

Students entered Madrona K-8 in Edmonds for the first day of school at the new building.

The new Madrona K-8 opened Monday, Jan. 7, to grateful parents and excited students, who were led to their new classrooms.

Students had been attending the former Alderwood Middle School in Lynnwood while construction continued at Madrona.

Edmonds School District Superintendent Kris McDuffy welcomed students to the school, as did teachers and Principal Kathleen Hodges.
