No official Veterans Day activities in Edmonds this year

During this 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the 99th anniversary of the first Armistice Day – later called Veterans Day – Mill Creek will have its annual celebration and parade on Nov. 10.

The City of Lynnwood is sponsoring a ceremony on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, in conjunction with a local VFW post. Edmonds Community College, in Lynnwood, had a celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

But there are no Veterans Day activities planned in Edmonds, a year after the dedication and unveiling of the Edmonds Veterans Plaza at Fifth Avenue North and Bell Street, and after the VFW said it...
