Stanley Kermit Brunsvold: 1921-2018

Last updated 10/31/2018 at Noon

Stanley K Brunsvold passed away peacefully on October 11th in Edmonds.

Born in Souris, North Dakota, on April 4th, 1921, “Stan the Man,” as he was affectionately called, is survived by his daughter, Kim; son-in-law, Ed; grandsons Tyler and Cameron; daughter-in-law, Tarah; two great-grandsons; and his sister, Inez, along with many nieces and nephews.

Stan lived a very full and wonderful life. He was a Seattle fireman (at station #2), Loomis armored car driver, and played trumpet in the Navy band, where he met his wife, Vesta, who passed away in 1993. Together, they were involved in many social clubs.

Stan eventually married Barbara Gregerson, who lived next door at El Capitan condos on Second and James. Stan was loved by all, especially, the many Edmonds waitresses, bartenders and friends at Brighton Court.

He was the greatest Dad, husband, uncle to many, brother, grandpa and great-grandpa. The world lost one of their best. His sense of humor, wit, dapper style and charm will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 9th at 2 p.m. at Floral Hills in Lynnwood, with reception following.
