Edmonds Senior Center thrift store moving to Westgate

Ray Ferguson, 87, and Virginia Waldroup, 91, sit outside the Edmonds Senior Center thrift store on Saturday, Oct. 27.
It just so happens that it's the last day for the duo at the store, where they've been volunteering for more than 25 years.
The thrift store itself will soon be history, as its last day is Dec. 14, as part of the planned demolition of the senior center to make way for the Edmonds Waterfront Center, which will continue to host senior activities.
The thrift store will move to Westgate in the former space occupied by Hallmark. It plans to open in early January.
All senior center programs will move to different locations in the spring.
