Margaret Eleanor Johnson passed away on July 16, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer, at her home in Edmonds, Washington. She was 83.

Peg, as she insisted on being called, was born June 21, 1935, to Harry and Dorothy Slick in Kokomo, Indiana. Harry was a Methodist minister, so the family spent many of her childhood summers at church camp, which became some of Peg's fondest memories.

In 1946, the family moved to Seattle, where Peg later attended Roosevelt High School. She spent many of her working years in restaurant management, displaying a knack for organization and leadership. In 1973, Peg settled into her beloved blue home in Edmonds, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Peg was passionate about travel, both internationally and local camping with her RV club. This love of travel took her to many parts of the world with her favorite tour group. When home, she enjoyed gardening, reading, and dining out. Peg was a devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother, and dependable friend.

Peg is survived by her beloved partner of 26 years, Del Johnson; children Terri (Steve) Baines, Mike Johnson and Traci (Dennis) Guhlke; brothers Harold, Jack and Paul; grandchildren Renae, Arianne, Karlie, Alexander and James; and great-grandchildren Macie, Maya, Madeline, Addison and Elliott.

Peg is predeceased by husband Dick Johnson.

A celebration of Peg's life was held Friday, July 20, at Beck's Tribute Center in Edmonds, Washington. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service beginning at 11 a.m., immediately followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to King's Schools, MS-15, 19303 Fremont Ave. North, Shoreline, WA 98133.
