Tractor operator fined $191 for crash into home

 

The Edmonds Police Department has finished its investigation into the cause of the crash of an unoccupied tractor-trailer into an Edmonds home on Olympic Avenue June 18.

Investigating were the traffic unit, Washington State Patrol and a specially trained commercial vehicle inspector. They determined that there were factors on the tractor operator’s part that contributed to the crash.

The operator was cited for a violation of federal regulations and equipment pertaining to commercial vehicles, a civil infraction that carries a $191 fine.

There are no criminal charges, and the investigation is closed.
