Warriors lose to Tomahawks | Baseball

Edmonds-Woodway came out flat in the 3A District baseball championship game and then proceeded to get flattened by Marysville-Pilchuck.

The Tomahawks teed off on the Warriors, scoring runs in every inning to cruise to an 11-0 victory in a game called after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule Saturday, May 12, at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Both teams already had qualified for the state regional baseball tournament. But with the loss Edmonds-Woodway (14-9) drew possibly the toughest assignment in No. 1 ranked Mercer Island. The Islanders defeated the Warriors 2-1 in last year’s third...
