Mavericks stun Warriors on Dimmock’s walk-off HR | Baseball

Meadowdale’s Tommy Dimmock wasn’t waiting for a specific pitch.

The count was 1-2 and he had just fouled off a pitch to stay alive. The Mavericks were trailing 5-4 with a runner on first base and two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning when the unexpected happened.

“The next pitch I got was a pitch down the middle to drive and I did something with it,” the Meadowdale senior said.

That something was Dimmock’s first-ever, walk-off home run over the centerfield fence that set off a wild celebration on the field as the Mavericks stunned arch rival Edmonds-Woodway 6-5 in a Wesc...
