City urges feds to ban oil, coal trains in Edmonds

The Edmonds City Council unanimously passed two resolutions on Tuesday urging the federal government to ban the transport of crude oil and coal by rail through the city.

Councilmember Adrienne Fraley-Monillas spearheaded an effort to get before the council Resolution 1362, which bans the transport of crude oil through Edmonds, and Resolution 1363, which bans transport of coal.
