D.C. hire to lobby for rail crossing alternative

The City of Edmonds has hired a federal lobbying firm, Capitol Strategies of Washington, D.C., to pursue federal dollars for the at-grade rail crossing alternatives project.
“You have to have people on the ground in D.C. going door-to-door, talking to key staff members in the transportation area plus our local elected leaders in D.C. our state senators and our congressmen,” Mayor Dave Earling said.
