Not all were wary of the wind

High winds and rain hit Puget Sound last week, causing downed trees, power outages and mudslides in Snohomish County, but not all were negatively impacted.

Four kiteboarders had a captivated audience of beachgoers on Sunday, March 13, as they surfed in 30- to 40-mph winds in the waters off Marina Beach.

“I’ve never seen that much wind before in Puget Sound,” kiteboarder Christian Johnson said.
