City to  explore a Metropolitan Park District

As the City of Edmonds prepares for a difficult task of developing a balanced budget for 2013, the Mayor and City Council will need to consider service level cuts, efficiencies, revenue tools, or all of the above.

Recently, Council decided to explore the formation of a Metropolitan Park District (MPD), one possible tool that could help balance the budget, and secure dedicated funding for the much loved flower baskets, Yost pool, recreation programs, Senior Center, and parks among other areas.
