A grassroots garden blooms

A visitor to the Mukilteo Community Garden last week remarked that the garden looked good and wasn't it nice that the City of Mukilteo had done all this for the garden?

I replied that it was great that the city allows us to use this land to grow food for its citizens, and that the city brought water to the garden, and that staff was helpful with the occasional question.

But, the rest of the garden: arbor, plants, fence, building raised beds, soil, chips, tools and other items have all been DONATED. Everything. Our community is really behind the garden. This is a grassroots, positive peopl...
