Chapter 20 means no city appeal

Chapter 20 put simply.

If Chapter 20 passes, substantial shoreline development and shoreline variances will NOT be reviewed by City Council.

Citizens will have to hire a lawyer to go through Superior Courts to dispute any Hearing Examiner's rulings on these land use issues.

For example, city bureaucrats can now allow developers to waive shoreline environmental regulation, reduce setbacks, or even allow taller buildings and these issues would not be able to go to appeal to our elected officials.
