Mukilteo Schools Foundation awards 15 grants to educators

The Mukilteo Schools Foundation has awarded classroom grants to 15 Mukilteo educators from nine different schools. The grants, which are awarded each year using money raised by the foundation through corporate and individual donations, will fund 13 different projects that are intended to help improve the achievement of Mukilteo students.
The grants were awarded during the regular meeting of the Mukilteo School Board Monday, Feb. 23.

Mary Beth Barney of Fairmount Elementary Funds will be used to cover the cost of having a naturalist come to the classroom to prepare the students for a field trip where they will explore tide pools on a Puget Sound beach.
