Olivia (Libby) Curran: 1952-2023

Posted

Olivia (Libby) (Moser) Curran, 71, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by loved ones. Born February 8, 1952, in Superior WI, she was raised in Edmonds and graduated from Edmonds High School.

Libby was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend full of life, love, and strength. She enjoyed many thrilling trips traveling cross country with Russell on their Harley and was blessed to enjoy years of fun on the beach in Puerto Peñasco.

While enjoying life to the fullest, she also was a fierce fighter and fought brain tumors and other health issues for over 24 years.

She was a pillar of light and could befriend anyone and everyone loved her. Libby's laughter was contagious and good times were always had in her presence. She was a very giving person to others and charities.

One of her charities included the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk. "Team Libby" was created 15 years ago and we walked every year to honor Libby and her fight.

Libby was proceeded in death by her father Lawrence Moser; mother Lois (Little) Moore; stepfather Frank Moore; brother Gregory P Moser, sister Debbie (Clark) Guertin, nephew Gregory M Moser, stepson Rhett Curran, father-in-law Dr. Vic Curran; and mother-in-law Betty Curran.

She is survived by her husband, Russell; her children, Nicole (Guertin) von Ellinghaus; Bobby Guertin and his wife Shannon; Deborah Evans and her husband, John; Jenee Curran, Vance Curran and his wife, Kelli; her 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Joey Moser, Gene Moser and his wife, Cathy; Robin Buehler and her husband, Marc; Scott Moore and his wife, Patti; Colleen Reid and her husband, Scott; and Libby's wonderful cat, "Chubby."

Her final resting place is at Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline, in the chapel mausoleum. A celebration of life will follow in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Swedish Foundation for Brain Tumor Research/Treatment in memory of Olivia Curran (Team Libby).
