Stepping Out

Mountlake Terrace High School Musical Theatre program will present the musical ALL SHOOK UP – featuring Elvis Presley hits – January 18 – 21 at 7 p.m.

Fun-filled, fast-paced and jam-packed with hip-swiveling good music, and a story loosely based on Shakespeare’s TWELFTH NIGHT – complete with mistaken identity, gender-bending, star-crossed love and all set in the 1950’s.

Senior Seth Borcherdt, as Chad the rovin’ roustabout with a song in his soul and love for the ladies, leads an outstanding cast of Mountlake Terrace High School performers.

Senior Miranda Troutt, steals Chad’s heart, but his love is not returned as she sees him for the HOUND DOG that he is.

Chad needs a sidekick to help him win his ladylove, choosing Dennis, junior John Moore, the small town’s loveable but awkward dental student.

Dennis is secretly in love with Natalie, played by junior Serena Hohenstein. Natalie falls for Chad’s charisma and charm and has dreams of ONE NIGHT with Chad. 

Others seasoned performers that round out the cast include Jordan McKinney (Sr) and Marisa Correa (Sr) as the star crossed lover, Susanna Faherty, Senaiet Zerom, Michael Londino, and Calvin Martin.

The stage band features members of the award winning MTHS Jazz band.

Tickets for the play are $8 for general admission, $7 for Advance purchase, ASB, Senior Citizen and children 13 and under. Advance tickets can be purchased at Shear Madness Salon (23631 Brier Road #C Brier) beginning January 11.)
