Scene from the hilarious comedy "Once in a Lifetime"
The Phoenix Theatre in Edmonds proudly announces its first show of Season 3, the side-splitting hollywood satire, Once in a Lifetime, by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, running Sept. 3-26.
Directed by Christine Mosere, Once in a Lifetime stars Kayti Barnett, Melanie Calderwood, Colleen Carey, Susan Connors, Alysha Curry, Diane Fadden, Laura Hanson, Steven Heiret, Eric Helland, Alyssa Kay Fox Matthews, Maureen Slabaugh, Mark Waldstein, and Rick Wright.
This hilarious comedy follows a faltering vaudeville act as they decide to head west to take on Tinsel Town at the onset of the Talking Pictures.
The trio’s misadventures provide an uproarious look at the underbelly of Hollywood, including the megalomaniacal, illiterate producer; the imported New York playwright who loses his mind; and the talentless fame seekers yearning for fame and fortune, whatever the cost.
Dates/Times: Sept. 3-26, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., at the Phoenix Theatre, 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds (Top level of Firdale Village Shopping Center.)
