Cascade Symphony presents ‘Rachmaninoff's Second’

Library features work by Bob Sears

The Edmonds Arts Commission is presenting an exhibit of photographs by Bob Sears at the Edmonds Library, December 17-January 30. Sears carries his camera with him everywhere he goes watching for photo opportunities, especially in Edmonds with its mix of historic buildings, vibrant downtown and stunning location with magnificent views of Puget Sound.

King’s Schools to send 3 robotics teams to defend state title

King’s Schools is thrilled to announce the state championship qualification of each of our high school Robotics FTC teams, CyberKnights 3717, CyberDaze 4590, and CyberReign 5076. While the league has set no limits on the size of teams, King’s High School has elected to compete as the three separate teams in order to maximize the abilities and potential of each of the 27 Robotics members.

Comedy tourney at Black Box Theatre

The Black Box Theatre in Lynnwood has a number of comedy shows coming up. Starting December 9 until the 23rd, every Friday and Saturday at 8;30 p.m., UP is putting on its 4th annual Womb Escape Impov Tournament.

Carrico images featured at Lynnwood Library

The Lynnwood Library Gallery will be showing artwork by Minh Carrico through Jan. 5, 2012. Minh’s color photographic images represent two societies, two worlds that make up his identity: a white southern community in Little Rock, Arkansas where grew up during the 1970’s, and Vietnamese culture through his mother, and his own travels.

The Driftwood Players present ‘The King & I’

This Rodgers & Hammerstein musical classic pits East versus West in a dramatic, richly textured and ultimately uplifting love story. When summoned to Bangkok's Royal Palace in 1862 to tutor the many children and wives of the King of Siam, English widow Anna Leonowens struggles with the King's barbaric behavior.

Meadowdale Players present ‘The Tempest’

Meadowdale Players are producing the magical and mysterious “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare November 17, 18, and 19, at 7 p.m., at Meadowdale High's Black Box Theatre. The play is usually regarded as Shakespeare's most mature work and comes complete with sorcery, revenge, and young love.

The Edmonds-Woodway High School held their Fall Concert on Oct. 25, it was conducted in three sections.
