The future of Kamiak basketball looked pretty bright during the recent hoops camp Knight players and coaches held last week for boys entering grades 4-8 this fall.
Under the direction of head coach Cory West, 50 prospective Kamiak hoopsters practiced shooting, dribbling and ball handling skills as well as improving their footwork and defensive play.
The program, now in its eighth year, has become a summer tradition with camps for both boys and girls. While it isnt specifically a feeder program for the high school team, West said that many participants also play for the Mukilteo Knights organization that does serve as a feeder for Kamiak.
