Meadowdale High vocalist awarded Jazz Vocal Soloist honor

Meadowdale High School senior Siobhan Brugger was one of two high school winners in the Jazz Vocal Soloist award given by nationally recognized jazz magazine Downbeat.
Brugger, who is a member of Impressions, the jazz vocal ensemble at the school, plans to pursue a dual degree in vocal jazz and a social science after graduation from Meadowdale.
Last year, Brugger won the Seattle-Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist Competition, which allowed her to tour Japan.
