The Edmonds Woodway Cheer Team will be holding their 2010 Cheer Clinic
from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 30 at Edmonds Woodway High
School, 7600 212th Street SW Edmonds.
This is an opportunity for participants to learn and practice
cheerleading skills such as jumps, dancing and cheering. The clinic usually attracts more than
one hundred eager participants, and is fun for all.
The cheer team welcomes all students who want to attend who are
currently kindergarten to 8th grade; they do not need to be students in the
Edmonds School District. The clinic often sees many returning clinic veterans
as it is an excellent way to learn about cheerleading, try something new and
get to know the community they may one day be apart of.
A review practice will be offered the Thursday prior to participants’
halftime performance. Clinic participants receive admission to the Varsity
game, parents are required to pay admission for them and guests; this helps
support Edmonds Woodway sports teams.
This fundraiser helps to offset the cost of equipment, supplies and
treats for sports and staff. The
clinic is fun and exciting for both students and parents.
