This weeks spring weather finally has gardening enthusiasts eager to get their hands into the dirt. This year, theres an opportunity to do some good at the same time.

Plans for the Mukilteo Community Garden are coming together. A large section of the garden is being set aside to grow produce for the Mukilteo Food Bank, which, not surprisingly, is busier than ever.

The city has donated the use of public land on the site of the old Highland Memorial Park northeast of 44th and 76th. Theyre providing water, electricity and staff assistance.
