Dave Jasper
Dave Jasper, Born July 31, 1925 in Hoquiam, WA to Louise and Frank, he was the 10th of 11 children; and died August 18, 2010.
Dave graduated from Elma High School and was a record holding track and field star. He served in US Navy during WWII (Pacific). Attended Edison Tech Meat Cutting School and in January of 1949 he married Evelyn Johnson, for 61 years.
Dave was a meat cutter and apartment and real estate owner. He was an Elk, Eagle and active member at the Holy Rosary Catholic Parish Edmonds for 57 years; and member of Meat Cutters Local 81 for 60 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and traveling.
A strong family man, survived by his wife, Evelyn; children: Mike (Karen), Pat, Tom (Beth), Mary (Dave), Cherie, and Jennifer (John); grandchildren: Joe (Lindsey), Matt, Justin, Kelsey, Michelle, Sam, Jessica, Anna and Tyler; sister, Florence Larson; and brothers, Eddie, Dick. Preceded in death by his grandson Bill, and seven brothers and sisters.
Viewing is from 3 to 8 pm on Friday, August 27 with a Rosary at 7pm, at Beck’s Funeral Home, 405 – 5th Ave. S, Edmonds, 425-771-1234.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 630 – 7th Ave. N, in Edmonds; followed by Interment at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline, WA.
