Frank loved and was loved by his family so very much.     He left us with a lifetime of exuberant memories – fun, thoughtful, riotous, stern, old-softie and sweet memories.   He never held anything back, we heard whatever was on his mind… and there was always a lot.

The well-being of his family and the future were always on his mind.  He walked the streets of Edmonds (or Yuma) daily for his health but also to talk with folks – friends and strangers alike.  He always had a hearty, upbeat “Hi, how’re you doing today” and would engage in conversation whenever possible.

Racecars, racing, street rods and cars in general were his passion whether he owned, sponsored, drove, pitted, watched on TV or went to breakfast with racing buddies – cars and racing were his most absorbing hobby (other than politics).   Most of his recollections and identification of events included the year, make and model of some car involved (of course).  He reveled in spending time with all of his friends when he could joke, laugh, argue and have long talks.

During his high-school years Frank worked at Ed’s Market in Lynnwood.  Later on he worked as a rack jobber for several companies and then, with a friend, formed a wholesale distribution company that sold sewing notions, hair care, beauty care, home items, party goods and other products.  The sales territory covered Washington, Oregon, Montana and Alaska.

After retiring from that business he and his wife bought and managed mobile home parks.  The last few years he spent the winter months in Arizona and gained many new friends and talking buddies.

Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years Bonnie “Kit”; daughters Terri and Nikki (Bud); son Rus; grandchildren Nikolas, Steve and Tanya (Jason); great-grandchildren Heather, Krystal, Alex, Jzenine and Jaden; sister Jerrilyn;(Gary); brother-in-law Mike (Colleen); nephew Darrin (Jonie) and family; niece Shannon (Keith) and family; niece Sarah (Charlie).   Frank’s mother Merridey, father Elver and grandson James preceded him.  Frank waged a hard fought battle against the cancer and was so very brave and determined through it all.  We dearly miss him.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held in the near future.   In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Swedish Cancer Institute Seattle or NASCAR (Charitable) Foundation, 550 So. Caldwell St. STE 2000, Charlotte, NC 28202 or Dale Turner Family YMCA Partners with Youth Campaign, 19290 Aurora Ave. N., Shoreline, WA 98133.
