The Chase Lake Elementary PTSA will host the Edmonds Family Fitness and Health Fair from 6 – 8 p.m., on January 26, at Chase Lake Elementary, 21603 84th Avenue West, Edmonds.
Designed to encourage families to make wellness a priority in 2012, the event will provide the community with resources, information and health screening, as well as showcase activities that the whole family can do together.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
Participants will be encouraged to have their “Passport to Wellness” stamped as they participate in various activities and visit exhibits throughout the Chase Lake commons and gymnasium. Once their passport is complete, it becomes a ballot which can be entered to win one of many wellness-themed prizes donated by national and local companies.
The Edmonds Family Fitness and Health Fair will include vision and blood pressure screening, limited oral exam, and student immunization confirmation provided by Community Health Center of Snohomish County; “Prescription for Exercise” booth staffed by Birth & Family Clinic physicians from Swedish/Edmonds; healthy snacks from PCC Natural Markets and their Kids Pick Snack Bus.
