Significant snow accumulations are expected late tonight through Wednesday evening with another 5 to 10 inches of   new snow possible by Wednesday evening.

Expect extreme travel difficulties to develop on Wednesday.

If you must travel in the area, carry an extra flashlight, food, water, and blankets in case of emergency.


NOAA is predicting a major snowfall in Edmonds, with a possible 12+ inches possible by Wednesday evening.

Make your travel and emergency preparations now and don’t get caught unaware.

Today: Snow showers. High near 35. West northwest wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent . Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tonight: Snow. Low around 28. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 31. Northeast wind between 9 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Snow. Low around 29. North northwest wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday: Snow before 10 a.m., then rain. Snow level rising to 1000 feet. High near 38. North northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
