Michele Harps, owner of Michele Harps Art in Edmonds, will be the featured artist at the Coldwell Banker Office for the January Third Thursday Art Walk, January 19, from 5-8 p.m. 

Harps, whose studio is at the Firdale Village Shopping Center, will present a series of large color washes, ocean inspired paintings and pop-art flowers on silver leaf for the Edmonds Show. 

Her contemporary style, using acrylic on canvas, creates amazingly clear, colorful and powerful images. 

After studying Fine Arts at the University of Washington, Michele worked as a clothing buyer for the Bon Marche and sold art in local galleries and high-end home stores, including Roche Bobois. 

She then spent 14 years in Real Estate, working in the Magnolia area for Windermere.

From 2004 through 2011, she was a Home Staging Consultant and owned and operated Practical Illusions Home Staging, also located in Firdale Village.
