Are you feeling overwhelmed with too much clutter left over from the relaxing days of summer?
The Friends of the Edmonds Library (FEL) would like to assist you in recycling your summer's entertainment.
In preparation for the Friends of the Edmonds Library's 30th Annual Book Sale, to be held Saturday October 23, sale volunteers would welcome your gently used books, DVDs/videos and CD's.
The FEL volunteers sort and categorize donated materials throughout the year and welcome all contributions with the exception of older encyclopedias and Readers' Digest Condensed Books.
All proceeds from the Annual Book Sale go to enrich the Edmonds Public Library.
Monies raised support children and teen programming, maintenance for the library aquarium and building gardens, new furniture to create a welcoming space, and a annual scholarship for a graduate student at the UW Information School.
Several small bags or a box or two of donations may be dropped off in the lobby of the Edmonds Library at the Friends donation box.
For larger donations of three boxes or more, including estate libraries, please call Bea O'Rourke at 425-673-1873.
