You know the concept of “Paying It Forward.” Good deeds will be passed on, although it shouldn’t be about money; it should be about the goodness of people.
This is a good Paying it Forward story that happened right here in Edmonds.
Jim McKinnon was featured (although not by name) in a letter The Beacon received recently about visitors to town who had a flat tire.
A number of Edmonds residents stopped to see if they could help the stranded couple with the flat.
The couple described Edmonds residents as “Little Angels.” McKinnon was one of those Little Angels.
And then he lost his wallet. He had been to QFC and the beach, but checked at both and couldn’t locate the wallet.
When McKinnon returned home, his wife Lisa told him the police had called. Seems a 10-year-old boy had found the wallet and turned it in. Complete. All money and credit cards were accounted for.
McKinnon said he wants to take this opportunity to “say thanks to the boy and his folks who turned in the wallet.”
