Grant checks totaling $30,000 were recently awarded to representatives of 13 non -profit organizations in Snohomish County.  Checks were presented by Bob Drewel, with Ross Rettenmier, Tim Nowliss, Gerry Andal and Sheryl Foley on hand representing the Greater Everett Community Foundation’s Human Services Fund in honor of Bob Drewel.  These grant’s will support programs ranging from clothing for school kids to Meals on Wheels for seniors.

The Human Services Endowment Fund in honor of Bob Drewel, held at the Greater Everett Community Foundation, recently awarded grants totaling $30,000 to 13 nonprofit organizations supporting human services organizations and programs in Snohomish County.

Since the fund’s inception in 2003, more than $100,000 in grant support has been awarded.  Grants were made to the following nonprofit organizations:

American Red Cross
Community Disaster Education for Special Needs Populations
Assistance League of Everett
Operation School Bell
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County

One to One Mentoring
Bridgeways
Sparrow House – Meal Services for Bridgeways Clients
Christmas House
Christmas House 2010 – Clothing Needs

Clothes for Kids
Greatest Needs
Cocoon House
Emergency Teen Shelter Services
Friends of Youth

New Ground Everett
Housing Hope
Client Assistance Fund
Puget Sound Labor Agency
Operation Shortfall Energy Assistance

The Human Services Endowment Fund in Honor of Bob Drewel is a permanently endowed fund established in 2003 to provide grants to assist human services agencies serving Snohomish County communities.


Guidelines: This fund provides grants to human services agencies throughout Snohomish County, for human services programs.  The target populations are seniors, youth and the disabled. 

Funding is for basic needs, identified here as:  food, clothing, shelter, safety and health/wellness.  

Grant amounts range from $500-$2,500.
Deadlines: The next grant application deadline will be in the spring of 2011.
