Editor:
Yesterday was a spectacular day for me.  Not only was the weather superb, but as I was walking along Sunset Drive to get some much needed exercise, I came upon a lady who was picking up litter from the surrounding area.

I thanked for her wonderful deed, and in talking, found out that her name was Barbara Schoenholz and she lives in South Everett.
At one time, she was a resident of the Edmonds area, and always liked the walk along Sunset Drive.

She said that helping the community is good therapy for her after a near fatal car accident.  Barbara said that yesterday was the second time she had done this wonderful deed.  She had a trunk load of bottles, cans and refuse that she had gathered along the way.

I just wanted to let someone know about this kind deed and perhaps if more of us were as conscientious as Barbara, our environment would contain the natural beauty it so deserves.
