Looking to continue its celebration of the beauty, history and people of Edmonds, The Edmonds Mural Society is looking for artists submissions for 2-5 new murals to be created in the summer and early autumn of 2010.

They are looking for artists interested in elevating the traditional concept of a mural from a historic or pioneer themed grouping to more of a fine art presentation that will enhance the community through a variety of styles, genres and imagery and will allow the walls in the City of Edmonds to become an outdoor art gallery.

They invite all artists and interested parties to go to their website at www.EdmondsMuralSociety.org and click on the Call for Artists 2010 page.  Here you will learn about their 2010 theme – “A Moment in Time” and find a link to their Art and Artist Selection Process.    They are looking for local artists of all medium, styles, age and skill level.  They’ve already talked to local artist community groups, high school students and gallery aficionados working to fit the best pieces into their 2010 season.

Submissions are due no later than February 28, 2010 and can be directed to:

The mission of the Edmonds Mural Society is to celebrate the beauty, history and people of Edmonds with artscapes throughout the city.  They are a community donation funded organization.
