"Friends of the Sister City" seek volunteers
Hekinan, Japan has been a Sister City with Edmonds for 22 years.  The Edmonds Sister City Commission plans various activities each year to bridge these two cultures and build goodwill.
To expand the work of the Commission, a new group of volunteers called "Friends of the Sister City" is now forming.
The group will assist the Commission when Hekinan students visit Edmonds every summer in August, and when adult delegations periodically visit Edmonds in October.
Volunteers can determine the amount of time they have available to help.  They will work as a group to prepare for the Hekinan delegation visits.  Some volunteers will help during the time the visitors are here.
If you are interested in finding out more about "Friends of the Sister City," please contact the chairperson, Jeanne Mazzoni at jeanne.mazzoni@gmail.com
